Dr. N. S. Shetty
Dr. Narasinga S. Shetty is an accomplished agricultural economist with a distinguished career spanning academia, research, and international development. He earned his doctoral degree from the University of Bombay and began his professional journey as a Research Officer in the Department of Economics at Bombay University. Subsequently, he served as an economist at the Bank of India and as a consultant for the United Nations Development Programme (UNDP) and the Food and Agriculture Organization (FAO). Dr. Shetty's expertise led him to roles in the Development Bank of Zambia and the Commonwealth Secretariat in Uganda, where he contributed significantly to agricultural policy and economic development initiatives. In academia, he has been a Professor Emeritus at Nitte JKSHIM, imparting knowledge in marketing management, consumer behavior, and strategic management. His research interests encompass agricultural economics, rural development, and the intersection of policy and economic growth. Dr. Shetty's diverse experiences have made him a respected figure in both national and international economic circles.
