According to Kuyilady Suresh Nayak, president of the school's platinum jubilee celebrations committee, the Karnataka Public School in Hiriyadka, Udupi district, will begin its platinum (75 years) jubilee celebrations on April 27.

He informed reporters in Udupi on April 25 that the festivities would continue until January 2026. Gurme Suresh Shetty, the Kaup MLA, will kick off the annual festivities.

With 1,800 pupils, the school serves children from neighboring areas. Each academic year, the school records positive outcomes.

The institution began as 'Hiriyadka Board High School' in 1950. In 1975, it was elevated to a pre-university college. In the academic year 2019-20, the State Government recognized it as a Karnataka Public School, he mentioned.

Mr. Nayak indicated that the festivities will unite alumni, students, and educators. The events will showcase the school's evolution from modest origins to a significant part of education in Hiriyadka.

Manjunath Bhat, the school's principal, stated that the teaching staff is dedicated to providing a comprehensive educational experience. The school has embraced both Kannada and English as its languages of instruction.
